As I’m
sure you are aware we celebrated our 5th Birthday on Thursday
5th April, over 100 people came along to the party and we
would like to thank them all, the event was a great success!
Among the many people who helped us celebrate were the Mayor
of Mansfield Tony Egginton and the Trent FM Black Thunders.
.
. .
For
the Party all the staff teams were asked to create stalls
to promote and explain their services, they were given a
briefing that these stalls were to be as innovative and
creative as possible, and that there would be a prize for
the best stall, voted for by the party guests. Those of
you who came, discovered exactly how competitive each team
is, the stalls were fantastic!!! Here they are in the order
that they came.
.
. .
FIRST PRIZE - The SASS Team.
Their stall was based around an army theme,
and included full cargo nets, camouflage and they wore full
T.A. uniforms!
.
. .
SECOND PRIZE - Senior Steps. This
was the most colourful stand, they did a
theme around 5 portions of fruit and veg a day. It included
loads of fruit and veg,
the very brave staff team bared their midriffs and wore
headdresses!!
.
. .
THIRD PRIZE – SEA. Their stall
was a seaside theme, they had
beach toys and towels, and they even had a real beach on
the floor!!
The staff team dressed in beach gear, which included Richard
&
Tom wearing bikinis and sarongs!!
. . .
The Business Foundations Teams stall was a construction
zone. They
were dressed in hard hats and reflective coats, and included
road signs and
traffic cones. They even had a guess-who-the-baby-is competition
for a prize.
.
. .
The First Steps Team had a
party theme and including music and disco lights.
They used the number 5 for the 5 virtues and had t-shirts
to match.
.
. .
The Starting Blocks stall was staffed
by pirates. The children produced some
fantastic stuff for their stall, including a pin-the-heads
on the directors!!
Which was a lot of fun!
WINNERS
The lucky winners of Easter Eggs
in the various prize draws were, Claire Thompson from Notts
HC Trust, Steve Jansky from Hello Telecom and Sean Bowring
from Rufford Installations Ltd, congratulations to them!!

Tony Egginton, Mayor of Mansfield
said “I was delighted to attend the fifth anniversary
of Building Blocks Solutions. In their short life they have
made a fantastic impact on the lives of some of the most
vulnerable people in our District. The accolades bestowed
on them are worthy acknowledgement of the team spirit and
dedication to our community. Within the Council I have made
it a priority to be outcome driven as I believe that this
is where the citizens of the District feel the benefit of
the service of a local authority – Building Blocks
Solutions ethos follows this principle achieving positive
results for those individuals that need help the most. Congratulations
on their first five years!”
