As I’m sure
you are aware we celebrated our 6th Birthday on Wednesday
9th April 2008, over 100 people came along to the party and
we would like to thank them all, the event was a great success!

Counsellor Barry Answer, Chairman of
the Council came along as a guest of honour to
the party, he is pictured here with Gill & Graham Gardiner,
co-directors of Building Blocks
The party had a “Fun at the Fair”
theme and staff teams were given a challenge to create a stall
about their service using a “Fun at the Fair”
theme with only a £10 budget! This certainly got the
creative juices flowing and the hilarious and bizarre stalls
consisted of a ghost train, fortune tellers, hook a duck and
a tin can alley!

Stall, demonstrating the "hook a duck!"

Jenny Ingram and Paul Stockton with
their Odd Job Plus stall, which was a construction zone,
including hard hats and cones!
|

This is the SASS team, as you have
probably guessed they created a ghost train, the team won
the 1st prize for creativity (again!).

tarrot card readers! (Don't give up your day job!)

This is an example of how employees get treated at Building
Blocks! Director Gill points a gun at the manager of the Starting
Blocks service, Andreia! |

This just proves that Councellor Barry Answer is a good sport,
snapped here taking his forfit for "hook a duck"
gracefully! Pictured with Gail & Sophie from Involve. |
