We are very proud to announce that Building Blocks have won a fantastic British Chamber of Commerce National Award for Business Commitment to the Community!!!
We entered the awards earlier this year; in October we were announced as the winners of the East Midlands award, of which we are very proud. Winning this award automatically put us through to the National Awards. On the 24th November, Gill and Graham went along to the British Chamber awards ceremony held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London. That night Building Blocks were announced as the national winners of the Business Commitment to the Community award.
We are very pleased to get this award as a symbol, that Social Enterprises are not just about profit and turnover, but about the impact that social entrepreneurs can make upon the lives of vulnerable people in our communities. By raising our profile in this way we hope we are helping to raise awareness and destroy the stigma attached to mental health.
