MOPS
MOVING ON POSITIVELY
SERVICE |
MOPS will assist you in dealing with any unexpected issues
which may arise during your journey from formal one to one
support, to you living your life independently. We here at
Building Blocks, recognise that the journey to be independent,
may at times be difficult, and having someone available to
talk things through with, when you are unsure of how to deal
with something, would be a great help.
|
EXAMPLES OF HOW MOPS HAS HELPED MOPS CLIENTS
|
|
|
Emotional
Support – If you find you are currently feeling
unwell and feel that things are getting on top of you,
and you feel you need to speak to someone, our MOPS team
will provide that listening ear!
|
|
|
Practical Support –
Unsure of a bill or any letters you may receive, our MOPS
team will spend time talking you through it and assist
you in resolving the matter.
|
|
|
Issues relating to your
tenancy – Our MOPS Team are here to assist you in
maintaining your tenancy and to offer advice regarding
this. Whether your unsure of who to report a repair to,
speak to regarding an unexpected bill, reporting Anti
Social Behaviour or anything tenancy related – we
can help you in accessing the people you need to speak
to. |
|
|
DO I NEED TO COME
DOWN TO THE STABLES IN
ORDER
TO RECEIVE MOPS SUPPORT?
|
As you may well know, there
is a high demand for our support service and that it will
be necessary for you to arrange an appointment with our MOPS
team to discuss any issues you are currently having difficulties
in resolving. We have private rooms available at The Stables,
to ensure your privacy and confidentiality, to enable you
to speak openly with your worker. If you find making the journey
down to The Stables too daunting, or feel too unwell to make
the journey then it may be possible for one of the MOPS team
to come out and see you at a convenient time to discuss your
current situation.
|
DO I HAVE TO HAVE THE MOPS SERVICE?
|
We want to offer our clients the best service possible and we
will actively discuss your support needs as and when you wish
to. MOPS is not compulsory for our clients – If someone
is in a position to manage and maintain their life independently
and feels confident with One to One support being ended, then
of course we will respect each persons right to move on. If
a client has low level support needs, but feels that they require
support as and when they require it, then our MOPS team can
be made available to meet the client’s needs. |
