Starting Blocks is an out
of school childcare provision for children aged
between 3 and 14 years. We provide a safe and fun place for
your child to go before and after school, and during the school
holidays. It’s a great opportunity for your child to
socialise with other children
All our staff are all police
checked and either hold or are training towards a level 2,
or level 3 NVQ in Childcare. All staff have also completed
training in First Aid, Child protection and hold a basic food
hygiene certificate. They all also undertake regular specialised
training sessions on issues appropriate to their role. All
of our activities are carefully planned, assessed for risk
and meet the Every Child Matters initiative.
We welcome and are able to
support children with additional support needs. We work closely
with “Breaks in Partnership”, “EYDCP”
and the “Disabled Children Team” who fund places
for children with additional support needs.
